Multi-day adventures sailing on the Lady Nelson square rigged Tall Ship around the spectacular South East Coast of Tasmania
The Lady Nelson is a replica of the original H.M.S Lady Nelson that brought the first settlers to Tasmania in 1804 providing an experience sailing a tall ship like they did over 200 years ago - but with all the safety and comfort of a modern ship.
Where we sail will depend on the trip and the weather but typical days include exploring Tasmania's spectacular sea cliffs, picturesque sandy bays and beautiful islands. Dolphins, seals and an amazing variety of sea birds including albatross are common on our trips - you may even be lucky and see migrating whales. Enjoy sunsets over a glass of wine, a hot meal and good company as we anchor for the night.

Where will we go?
Day 1 : Departing 9:00am from Deepwater Jetty, Triabunna - please arrive 30 -60 minutes before the departure time
Day 2-4 : Tallship sailing down the East coast of Tasmania
Day 5 : Arrive at Elizabeth St Pier, Hobart approximately 4:00pm
Each evening we will find a scenic bay and anchor for the night.
Places we have stopped in the past include Port Arthur, Triabunna, Schouten Island, Freycinet Pennisula, Maria Island and Coles Bay.
Payment
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This can be paid online or call the office on (03) 6234 3348 for alternate methods of payment.
We will advise payment options for the balance of payment closer to the departure date.
*** Important: these trips have minimum numbers so please do not book interstate travel until your booking is confirmed ***
- Sleeping bag and pillow
- Clothes for wet weather (hopefully they will not be required)
- Gear for walking and swimming
- Personal toiletries and medications
- Favourite tipple for enjoying with the evening meal
- A more detailed list will be given when you book
- Accommodation in single bunks on board the Lady Nelson
- All meals including morning and afternoon tea - we can cater for most special diets but please contact our office to check.
- The Lady Nelson does not provide alcoholic beverages but feel free to BYO - we recommend drink options that do not need refridgeration due to limited fridge space.
- Pick Up & Drop Off
Passengers are responsible for arranging travel to the departure points and pick up at arrival points.

Our sailings are weather dependent - if we need to cancel for any reason you will be given a 100% refund.
We understand travel plans may need to change, if you need to cancel, please contact enquiries@ladynelson.org.au or ring 6234 3348 with as much advance notice as possible so we have an opportunity to re-sell your berth.
Our cancellation policy is:
- Booking deposit - No Refund
- Cancellation within 7 days of the departure time - No refund *
- Cancellation within 21 days of the departure time - 50% refund *
- Cancellations before 21 days of the departure time - 100% refund less $15 administration fee
* If we are able to re-sell a cancelled berth we will only charge the $15 cancellation handling fee.
We recommend all guests take out travel insurance to cover unforseen changes to travel plans.
